“People around the world confuse constructivism with solipsism or idealism, and it isn’t. It’s very very importantly and very subtly different. And the difference is that you cannot determine whether there is a real world, independent of you as an observer, or whether there is not one. And it’s that undecisiveness, it’s the undecidability that is so central to us understanding when we talk about the observer being within the system, what that means in terms of what we can know, what we can’t know, and what we have to decide on because we feel that it would be in our better interest, or it would work better.”
